Job Description:
The part-time Bioinformatics Specialist will execute quantitative comparisons of the STRING database and the EMBL complex portal. Will model the parametrization and search of the STRING, such that it reports EMBL-like results (i.e. makes expert-like decisions) when queried. Will develop a successful method(s) to be translated into software for proteomic data. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in science required; Master's degree in engineering, software development, informatics, or data science preferred. Must have expertise in R and Python programming languages. Experience in decision-making analysis, statistical modeling, PCA and MDS, and machine learning necessary. Must be familiar with theory and practice regarding protein interactions and their data-types, databases, and analysis.
