Title: Translational Statistician / Biomarker Statistician Remote Duration: 12+ Months
- At minimum a master’s degree in statistics/computer science/computational biology + 3 years’ experience in biomarker and translational research, PhD is preferred
- Have experience in designing biomarker/precision medicine studies in discovery/pre-clinical (animal models, ex vivo assays) and clinical (phase I to III) spaces
- Being able to develop biomarker/precision medicine statistical analysis plan
- Being able to conduct quality control procedures for genomic data
- Being able to apply various statistical, machine learning and bioinformatics approaches to identify biomarkers and understand mechanism of action
- Can bridge the gap between statistics and biology, and work with biologists/translational scientists to interpret results
- Familiar with pathway analysis with experience on IPA or metacore
- Familiar with publically available databases, such as GTEx, 1000G etc. and able to utilize information from those databases to help interpretation of results
- Experience in building visualization platforms, such as Shiny or spotfire
- Experience in large consortium collaborating with investigators on genomic research is a plus
- Familiar with R, high performance clusters, Unix/Linux system and genomic analysis tools such as PLINK, MACH
