Job Description:
Seeking a talented and highly motivated Computational Biologist to pursue research projects in collaboration with bench biologists. The candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team, will carry out high throughput data analysis and data integration across various domains and will develop novel methods for genomic data analysis. MS/PhD degree from an accredited college or university in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Genomic Medicine or similar field, with a strong publication record and a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and observational skills Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer software/databases Theoretical knowledge of genetics, epigenetics, statistics, and molecular biology Extensive experience with gene-expression microarray and proteomics data Must be detail-oriented with strong logic, problem-solving, and organizational skills Proficiency in a high-level statistical language such as R, or SAS Fluency with "Bioconductor" packages for microarray data analysis Experience in computer programming and use of biological software applications; database structure and management Ability to work independently; make responsible decisions; lift/carry up to 40 pounds; maintain confidentiality …
