A San Diego Lifesciences/Biotech company is seeking an associate to manage the technical components of the product database . The position plays a central and key role within the company's growing marketing and operations analytics needs. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the company product catalog (over 130K products!).
Success in this position depends on critical eye for detail, the ability to multi-task, superior organization and efficient time management. This individual takes ownership of the work requiring detailed attention and is able to determine and apply methods and procedures on new assignments. This position will be based in our Sorrento Valley location.
The successful Technical Product Manager is someone who can:
Work with the product manager to prioritize new products listingAbility to use SQL and Excel tools to manage large datasetsUnderstand programming to help automate data manipulationComfortable with ETL tools such as Excel and other data manipulation toolsManage outsourcing teams for content assemblyQualifications:
Ability to write SQL queries and reportsAble to multitask and coordinate delivery of tasksBreakdown and manage difficult tasksStrong attention to detailAbility to multitask, prioritizes, and works well under tight deadlinesMust exhibit a high degree of professionalism and demonstrate confidenceSkillful at promoting ideas, great organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills to interface with all levels in the organization and customersCustomer focused individualProficient in Microsoft applications, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, QuickBooksStrongly preferred qualifications include:
Biology background is helpfulDatabase management skillsMagento ecommerce platform experienceFamiliarity with biological/life-sciences concepts and terminologyWeb marketing experienceRequirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, BioInformatics or Computer Science or equivalent desirableAt least 1 year experience in biological sciences4+ years related to data roles2+ years in coordination rolesSalary is $50,000 - $60,000 per annum, and commensurate with experience.
