Description

Open position for a postdoctoral researcher with experience in genetics, bioinformatics, computational biology, and stem cell biology at UC San Diego.

A postdoctoral position is available jointly with Dr. Maike Sander and Dr. Kelly Frazer, in the Institute for Genomic Medicine at the University of California San Diego (http://igm.ucsd.edu). The current position will involve joining a large multi-disciplinary team focused on generating and analyzing genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic, and phenotypic data from stem-derived pancreatic beta cells carrying diabetes-associated mutations and risk variants. This position will involve analyzing genome, transcriptome and epigenome sequence data. The ideal candidate will work well with others and have a strong track record in epigenomics and bioinformatics.

Our research is highly collaborative, as we perform team science involving several collaborators from the UCSD School of Medicine. The incumbent will have access to state-of-the-art computational resources and next-generation sequencing technology.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and based on UCSD salary scales.
