Job Description:
REQUIREMENTS: PhD in computational biology or a related discipline (systems biology, computer science, software engineering, statistical or computational genomics). Evidence of a multidisciplinary skill set (A good understanding of statistics, mathematics, computer programming and their applications in biomedicine.) Proven ability to manage complex long term quantitative scientific projects. This includes ability to manage diverse and large datasets, and application of reproducible research methodologies. Ability to develop, maintain and refine computational workflows, pipelines and analytical tools & methods. Experience with next generation sequencing (NGS) or proteomic data a plus. Expertise in Unix/Linux, C/C++, Python (or Perl) and R. Statistical and data analytical skills applying machine learning and Bayesian computing. A good peer reviewed publication record PREFERENCES: An interest in data integration, systems modelling, pathway bioinformatics, network biology and gene regulation. Good communication skills.
