Job Description:
Responsibilities:

-Understand and extend Seven Bridges graph technologies by developing and implementing new algorithms.

-Ability to test and validate new algorithms with synthetic and large genomic databases.

-Employ modern software development practices including documenting, versioning and testing analysis tools.

-Ability to develop algorithm/analysis code in python, C/C++ or other modern programming language.

Potential Projects:

-Define and implement association study operations (statistical analysis) on a graph containing genomic and phenotype information.

-Extend our graph based genomic simulation engine to support joint genomic and phenotype data simulation.

-Develop and validate a graph based local assembly library that can be integrated within our graph based genome analysis tools kit.

-Demonstrate efficacy of our graph analysis genomic tools set by conducting a large association study with public/private data sets.

-Adapt open source population genetics tools to work with Seven Bridges genomic technologies.

Requirements:

-Currently pursuing a degree in computational biology, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field.

-Strong interest and experience working at the intersection of data, algorithms, software development, and biological inference.

-Ability to work independently and in a team to solve a challenging analysis problem.
