Job Description:
Single-cell and bulk RNA transcriptome analysis at CCHT in the framework of the SARM project.

Description
Competence Centre on Health Technologies (CCHT, previously Competence Centre on Reproductive Medicine and Biology - CCRMB) (Tartu, Estonia, EU) is the coordinating organization of SARM (Endometrial and Embryonic Genomics, Searching for Biomarkers in Assisted Reproduction; project short title: Search for Assisted Reproduction Markers; www.sarmproject.eu) project in the field of reproductive medicine and biology. The candidate being sought will be a key player in data analysis of single-cell or bulk RNA sequencing work within the EU FP7 funded project SARM (Grant Agreement No. 324509). It is a Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnership and Pathways project including the Competence Centre on Health Technologies (CCHT, Estonia, coordinator), the University of Leuven (Belgium), the University of Tartu (Estonia), the Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and Iviomics (Spain). The primary research objective of the SARM project is to unravel the molecular nature of human preimplantation embryo development and endometrial maturation. This ambitious goal will be achieved by exploiting highly sophisticated single-cell genomics tools, such as fine-resolution mapping of DNA copy-number changes by using SNP-array platform and DNA-sequencing, and characterizing single-cell transcriptional status by RNA-sequencing technology. The candidate is expected to work on the analysis of NGS transcriptome data and to analyse embryo-endometrial interactions. We offer a competitive employment package and a fun, dynamic environment with a top-notch consortium of young scientists in reproductive biology. Our consortium offers a rare level of interdisciplinarity, from fundamental advances in molecular biology to direct access to the clinics. In addition to the SARM consortium partners with whom an immediate interaction is foreseen, the candidate can expect close cooperation with the University of Tartu (www.ut.ee) data computing teams and Estonian Genome Center (www.geenivaramu.ee/en) which are our valuable cooperation partners. The candidate will collaborate closely with other colleagues within the organization, as well as with other researchers across the SARM consortium and contribute to the implementation of the project. Also, training of local staff members through courses and demonstrations is expected. Qualified candidate will be offered the opportunity to work semi-independently under the supervision of a senior investigator, and contribute to the acquisition of new and continued project funding. The position is foreseen for 12 months and can be extended, in principle, outside of the scope of the project.

Benefits
In addition to the Living Allowance (salary), a monthly Mobility Allowance will be paid to the eligible researcher, taking due account of the family situation of the researcher and the nature of the activity. CCHT can offer gross salary of 33000 EUR/year (ca 25 000 EUR net) and a gross Mobility Allowance of 395 -564 EUR/month (329-458 EUR net), depending on family obligations. The position includes full social security coverage and the Mobility Allowance is meant to cover personal household, relocation and travel expenses associated with undertaking transnational mobility for the position.
