Job Description:
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites application for an academic position (open rank) in Computational Genomics. This faculty position reflects a strategic expansion of the genomics initiative housed in the Department of Genetics in the School of Medicine. Successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program based on fundamental questions related to the biology of mammalian genomics. The candidate will be expected to build a research program at the interface of computational and experimental research. Specific areas include but are not limited to: 1) Role of long noncoding RNAs and 2) Computational approaches to characterize functional epigenetic states in humans and mammalian models.Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree.
