We are currently seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow in computational genomics with a specific focus on epigenomics of learning and memory. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work on a project aimed at understanding how DNA methylation impacts memory formation and consolidation. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for developing computational methods and algorithms to integrate multiple whole sequencing data types such as smallRNA, transcriptome and DNA methylation. Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. and experience in whole genome sequencing informatics and data analysis. Proficiency in developing algorithms, bioinformatics pipelines, and software is required. An understanding of DNA methylation and gene expression analysis tools is essential. Experience and proficiency with sequencing platforms such as Illumina and Pacific Biosciences is highly desired. The candidate is expected to have excellent writing and oral communication skills, to present at scientific meetings and publish results in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. Due to the nature of the project work, candidates must be a US born citizen.
