Job Description:
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the heart failure research team, focused on developing an integrated clinical research database for outcomes research. This integrated model will include clinical, imaging, as well as genomic data. Candidate will work with other analysts in the division to develop an interface that allows for automated data download from an electronic medical record system. The selected Data Analyst will assist in statistical analysis of data collected. He/she will perform project-specific tasks with post-doctoral scientists and fellows/clinicians, help with data management and back-up and assist with additional bioinformatics analyses tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Requires a bachelor degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Must have previous experience with Base SAS data set, PROC SQL, and macros.Organized with the ability to work as a team following common protocols and algorithms while also taking initiative to develop and apply methods in an independent manner.
Special Instructions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematics, biostatistics or related disciplines. Previous work experience in related area is a strong plus. Prior experience with Microsoft Access, Filemaker Pro, or Redcap. Working knowledge of coding in SPSS and managing data sets such as Merge, Concatenate, Import, and Export. Experience with SQL and longitudinal data sets.
