Working under the direction of Dr. Erin Dunn ( www.thedunnlab.com ), the data analyst will be responsible for conducting data management and statistical analysis tasks for large-scale epidemiological studies. Studies in the Dunn Lab are broadly focused on: (1) the developmental effects of exposure to childhood adversity on risk for psychopathology; (2) genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic predictors of susceptibility to depression; and (3) gene-environment interplay, or how genetic variation modifies the effect of exposure to experience on downstream phenotypes. We are a collegial group seeking to identify highly motivated and dedicated team players who are curious, interested in interdisciplinary approaches, and deeply passionate about finding ways to prevent mental illness For this position, we are seeking a data analyst to perform analyses for three projects. These projects are centered on the developmental effects of genetic variation on executive functioning and risk for depression and analyses of innovative biomarkers of neuropsychiatric disease. Successful applicants will have experience in genetic association analyses, experience working with microarray data, and knowledge of how to use publicly available bioinformatics resources to interpret genetic results. Candidates must have a MA degree or higher in a related field (e.g., statistical genetics; bioinformatics; genetic epidemiology) with excellent quantitative skills, proven ability to work well in a collaborative environment, fluency with all modes of communication in English, and strong writing skills.
