Job Details

Position Highlights:

  • Be the "on-the-ground" Subject Matter Expert for the use of proprietary system data in accelerating the discovery and development of novel personalized medicines
  • Serve as point of contact for research groups within pharma sponsors, serving as a link between biology and data science
  • Identify collaboration opportunities and oversee collaborative projects between members and pharma sponsors
  • Utilize genetic/genomic and real world patient data to help drug target/ biomarker identification/validation, clinical trial design/patient enrollment, and post-market studies
  • Provide data analysis and interpretation to support pharma projects
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Professional with experience in pharma cancer drug R&D, and solid knowledge in applying "real world" molecular and clinical data towards drug discovery and development problems
  • Great team player with positive and "can do" attitude
  • Self-starter with high level of accountability and initiative
  • Highly reliable with outstanding planning & follow through to ensure projects/initiatives move forward efficiently and effectively to completion
  • Outstanding oral/written communication and interpersonal/networking skills
  • Excellent customer service & problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify issues/trends and solutions
  • Passion for science and oncology
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple internal/external projects at a time
  • Ability to significantly contribute to the overall team while also able to work well independently
Responsibilities:
  • Connect directly with pharma research groups and scientists to understand their needs and potential matches with program resources
  • Understand research priorities and development pipelines of Company's pharmaceutical clients
  • Form research/collaboration projects between program members and pharma sponsors
  • Manage and execute collaboration projects, follow through action items
  • Seek input from program and pharma for new datasets/clinical data elements, analytical tools to better serve oncology research
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert to interact with program members and pharma sponsors to help them use the data and address their specific questions
Credentials and Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in bioinformatics, informatics and/or biological sciences (or related discipline)
  • 3+ years of experience of oncology research.
  • Working knowledge with cancer drug development
  • Proven analytical ability with clinical and molecular data
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to travel extensively
