Job Description:
One of our key clients is a growing player in Boston's renowned pharmaceutical & biotechnology space. The organization's leading scientific team has a growing project portfolio and as such is looking to bring on board a Principal Data Scientist with management experience to build out the team.

The new projects are based on drug discovery, decision science & treatment optimization. The environment is innovative & challenging. Within the organization, you'll be working alongside some of the brightest and most mission-driven minds in the industry.

THE ROLE:

This is a role designed implicitly for a highly-educated, technically astute Data Science professional with a confident, assured set of communication skills and leadership ability. Industry experience is a must, as is a track record of publications, journals, and white papers to your name.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

-4+ years of postdoctorate experience in the pharmaceutical or biosciences industry as a hands-on Data Scientist.

-Extensive programming experience in Python & R.

-A thorough, hands-on understanding of biological data in a business setting.

-Confident and assured communication skills with the ability to stand-up and present to stakeholders up to C-level.

-All projects involve proprietary Bayesian tools, so experience in this field of statistics is imperative.

-The role calls for the building of a team and mentoring of junior Data Scientists, so verifiable experience of this is a necessity.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Masters, or ideally a Ph.D. in a discipline such as computer science, math, statistics, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, or a related quantitative field.

THE BENEFITS:

A competitive base salary of $135,000-$155,000, plus excellent benefits.
