Job Description:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about data science and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate must have a proven record of building innovative data-driven solutions. This role is expected to help beef up the R&D roadmap for data science at MFour. The role will be responsible for converting large amounts of raw data into measurable end-to-end analytical solutions. This position requires demonstrated expertise in stochastic models, classification, predictive models, pattern mining and anomaly detection. This role requires broad knowledge of existing algorithms with the ability to create new approaches when required. The data science team at MFour partners closely with engineering for deploying models in production. However, you are expected to write your own production code. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a quantitative science field. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with a team of high-performing analytics, data science professionals and product managers to identify business opportunities and create cutting edge solutions.
  • Create classification models for the mobile research industry.
  • Identify the scope and design of recommender systems for enabling DIY platform for mobile research.
  • Create predictive models for automating survey operations.
  • Create models for improving survey efficiency.
  • Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key business metrics.
  • Develop and test analytical solutions to be leveraged by both internal and external clients.
  • Design and evaluate experiments that help define opportunities for increased usage, improved marketplace performance and greater customer satisfaction
  • Monitor usage metrics, understanding business-based explanations for large scale trends and patterns in customer lifecycle behavior. Develop CLTV models
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree or PhD in relevant field, such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, computational biology or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data scientist.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in large scale data mining and analytics
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, SQL, machine learning algorithms and data pipelines.
  • Experience with modern Apache data stack such as Kafka or Spark
  • Experience in producing and rapidly iterating minimum viable product demonstration/prototypes.
  • Experience working R and Python, familiarity with java, scala, C++
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis & visualization using tools like SAS, R, Matlab or tableau.
  • Experience implementing supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, classification, clustering and collaborative filtering.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and motivated by complex technical and business challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences in engineering, business, product and executive areas
  • Overall, a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver who uses hands-on technical data analytics skills and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to deliver business value quickly.
