Job Description:
We have an opening in our Program and Product Management team for candidates with a strong technical background in genetics/molecular biology/bioinformatics and expertise in project management. You will work alongside software engineers, molecular biologists, and our clinical team to develop products and software tools to make affordable and comprehensive genetic testing a reality. From writing requirements to code release, you will have a key role in bringing new features and products to our clients with your clinical/scientific understanding, effective communication, organizational/analytical skills, and technical background.

Responsibilities:

-Project lead and/or team participant in development of our genetic testing services business including feature development for: laboratory methods and assays, commercial tests, and clinical reporting.

-Generating technical requirement/specification documents for bioinformaticians and software engineers to develop tools and automated workflows.

-Evaluation, quality testing and internal support of software and algorithms used in the clinical reporting pipeline.

Requirements:

-Bachelors/Masters degree, Ph.D. or industry experience in genetics or a related field.

-Exquisite attention to detail and organization.

-Ability to multitask and operate in a dynamic work environment.

-Experience working in cross-functional teams, especially with software engineers.

-Project and/or product management experience is a plus.

-Although this position does not include laboratory work, past experience with genotyping, sequencing, or molecular genetics is desired.

-Although this position does not include software engineering, familiarity with software engineering and code development processes is a plus.
