Job Description:
Responsibilities Include:

  • Manages team of PhD level data scientists and software engineers responsible for the development of novel algorithm designs for the analysis of complex genetic datasets, and
  • Provides expert technical experience in the development and automation of statistical analysis tools, experimental design input for research as well as clinical studies, and
  • Provides leadership and technical advice to cross functional teams working with senior assay development R&D members on assay design, functionality and performance across a variety of biological processes, and
  • Architects, develops and evaluates the performance of clinical data analysis pipeline, QA/QC metrics and directs statistical inquiries to aid diagnosis of laboratory performance issues, and
  • Provides bio-statistical leadership to cross functional teams responsible for clinical study design and data analysis used with laboratory test clinical claims including the preparation of submissions to and discussions with the FDA, and
  • Ensures alignment of department strategy to business strategy across all functional areas with a 1-3 year vision of new products and product enhancements for bioinformatics tools, and
  • Provides updates as needed to the Executive Management Team regarding department status, and
  • Such other matters as may be determined by yourself and the Company

  • Masters or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or related field.
  • 10 years’ professional experience in Bioinformatics. Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or diagnostics industries preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of Bioinformatics quality and regulatory principles
  • Experience with ISO13485 and CE marked products and or CLIA laboratory LIMS systems desired
