Director Software Development (m/f)

Job Description:
Aufgaben

• Lead and direct a team of software architects, software engineers and software testers.
• Retain and recruit talents and develop your team to be highly skilled, thereby meeting both today´s project needs and prepare for future demands.
• Shape the technology roadmap of the software department by addressing innovative topics, such as augmented reality, big data and cybersecurity.
• As a member of the software leadership team, develop the department strategy and cascade company goals to objectives for teams and individuals.
• Assign individuals to project teams in close cooperation with our software development leaders and support the teams in solving issues.
• Evaluate the performance of teams and individuals, provide feedback and administer compensation, benefits and promotions.
• Manage resources, such as infrastructure and contractors together with other line managers of the software department and the development organization.

Profil:

• University degree in Computer-Science, Bioinformatics, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Passionate about software development and delivering value to both customers and the organization.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in software development organizations.
• Excellent English communication skills in word and writing.
• Experience in medical device industry preferred (e.g. CE IVD, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Knowledge and practical experience in agile development methodologies.
