Director – Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health The Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health (CTLGH), established jointly by the University of Edinburgh, Scotland’s Rural College and the International Livestock Research Institute, wishes to appoint a Director of the Centre who will be responsible for its overall strategy and portfolio of research programmes initially for a period of three years. The Director will also be expected to lead his/her own programme of research within the University of Edinburgh and its partner institutions in the CTLGH, which should be in the broad area of Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health. Exemplar areas of research include dairy and poultry genomics, precision breeding, genetics and health interactions, informatics and biorepository management. In keeping with the seniority of this position, the Director will be appointed to a permanent research Chair at the University of Edinburgh, in a field of study appropriate to their research interests and qualifications.
