Job Description:

The Embedded Software Developer will report to the Software Engineering Lead, and perform duties as an individual contributor, as well as a team member, with 100% hands-on work. The candidate will be involved in prototyping, designing, implementing and maintaining our software applications. The candidate may also work with other cross functional groups (software quality, and firmware engineers) to troubleshoot and develop features for GenapSys’ instrument and diagnostic software. Responsibilities
Design, Architect, Prototype, and Develop best-of-the-breed embedded solutions for Genome sequencing customers Participate in cross-functional project teams with scientists, software quality, technical support and other engineers. Adhere to software development and source control processes. Required Qualifications:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) Experience working embedded platforms and low-level programming. Strong experience with design and implementation using Python. Comfortable working with Linux command prompt and shell scripts Experience in operational reliability, optimization, monitoring, configuration Strong hand-on experience in provisioning, optimizing and managing Linux platforms Management, debugging and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux environment, and high availability solutions Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Java. Worked with source control software like Git Object-Oriented Analysis/Design/Programming experience Pandas, numpy, scipy, cherrypy among other useful python libraries
