- PhD in bioinformatics or a closely related field
- At least one year post graduate experience
- Demonstrated collaborative research success
- Experience with RNA sequencing, whole genome sequencing or systems biology Demonstrated ability to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals as first or senior author
- Leadership experience with evidence of delegating to team members
- Experience presenting research at national or international forums
- Flexibility, creativity and excellent communication skills
