Faculty Positions in Biomedical Engineering

Job Description:

Applications are invited for tenure-track assistant, associate and full professor positions in Biomedical Engineering (BME, http://bme.unist.ac.kr) at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology).
These positions offer unrivalled opportunity to undertake high quality research within an outstanding academic environment.
We are searching broadly for biologists, physicists, chemists, and engineers with passion and insights in creative original research and technology development.
Research interests may include, but are not limited to: (1) Biomedical devices and instrumentations; (2) Biomaterials and tissue engineering; (3) Biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering; (4) Genomics and bioinformatics.
In addition, BME at UNIST is seeking a motivated individual for a non-tenure track teaching professor who would lead the senior design course and potentially participate in the research programs in Biomedical Engineering. It is a long-time contractual appointment. At UNIST, all the courses are offered in English.
These positions are part of UNIST-wide initiative in the areas of healthy and happy living and aging. All candidates must have earned a Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree, and be committed to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence and creativity in research, grant application, teaching, and/or translating the research outcomes to commercial products.
The Biomedical Engineering track at UNIST is a new center of scientific discovery and engineering innovation in Korea through teamwork. BME at UNIST aims to be a global leader in biomedical engineering by recruiting ambitious professors with diverse cultural and regional backgrounds.
