Job Description:
Are you looking for an opportunity to serve as a primary technical field contact for customers, responsible for all new installations; customer trainings; and providing data analysis, logistical, and troubleshooting support in the Eastern Region? Your primary goals will be to ensure maximum utilization of the Company’s systems to drive revenues and sustain customer retention. Responsibilities: -Coordinate new installations, including facility inspections, instrument validation, and customer training. Review and approve operational quality of equipment, and instruct customers in operations and maintenance of system under general instruction. -Troubleshoot issues related to user's technical skills, assay design, experimental design, software and instruments. Interpret customer needs and identify if the responsibility for a problem resolution is best handled by sales personnel, engineering, or other company personnel. -Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers in assigned territory. -Help to maintain and increase product usage, and support routine sales efforts through technical presentations and demonstrations. -Provide strategic and competitive customer feedback to Marketing and product development teams. -Work closely with all internal and external teams to identify opportunities for improved adoption, penetration, leadership, and performance of Company’s portfolio within current and potential customers. -Develop key company processes that support the Company mission of building a world-class customer support organization. Requirements: -Minimum 2 years of bench experience within a forensics laboratory preferred. -Prior field experience supporting customers in forensic laboratories using sequencing or array technologies preferred. -Demonstrated experience with next gen or high throughput sequencing sample prep technologies and protocols preferred. -Demonstrated understanding of commonly-used sequencing data analysis software applications preferred. -Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills. -Demonstrated written and verbal communication as well as training skills. -Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service. -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Forensic Science, Genetics, Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics preferred.
