Your role:
•As a Service Engineer you will responsible for the repair and maintenance of our instruments and systems for genetic analysis in the laboratories of our customers.
•Perform service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal & customer procedures and regulations. This means mainly: installs, repairs, maintenance and instruction of use of instruments to ensure safe and effective customer operations.
•Provide responsive telephone and on-site service and generally works to ensure that customer is successful in the use of Life Technologies instrumentation.
•Coordinate own work schedule with relevant partners (service coordinator, team leader, colleagues).
•Produce timely and accurate reports of the own activities as appropriate: i.e. engineer reports, planned maintenance reports, installation reports, expense reports, etc.
•Field visits will be mainly in Austria. Visits in other European Countries possible.
Minimum Qualifications (must have)
Your background:
•Professional background in engineering or in biology
•Experience in the environment with life science, medical equipment or bioinformatics
•A minimum of two years in a relevant service function.
•Effective communication skills
•Troubleshooting knowledge and experience.
•Computer literate.
•Positive presence and very good communication skills mainly in German and English.
•Ability to schedule and work independently, and as part of a group, to accomplish individual and team objectives.
•Ideally based in the area of Vienna and surroundings
•High level of willingness for travelling and able to work at Home Office.
•Valid driver license.
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
This roile is home office based with a preference for Vienna.
