Additional Info:
The Lai and Chen Labs are funded by grants from the NIH and offer a vibrant and multi-disciplinary research environment, with collaborations with laboratory scientists that work together to address questions germane to the functional characterization of glioma GWAS risk loci and the molecular genomics of brain cancers. We offer competitive salaries and benefit packages. The position is available starting 1st March 2017.

University of Southern California’s program in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics is one of the earliest training programs in Bioinformatics in this country. The Department was found by Dr. Michael Waterman, one of the originator of computational biology. Over the last 30 years, many prominent and leading computational biologists have been trained at USC. The Department of Preventive Medicine has been at the forefront of research relating to GWAS and post-GWAS functional characterization. Since its founding in 1977, the Department has consistently ranked at the top of NIH funding among comparable medical school departments.
