Job Description:
-Design, develop and maintain professional quality software for scientific analysis -Use best software engineering practices to write, document and maintain code -Writes code that can be run on local or cloud environment i.e. portable code -Integrate disparate software systems on heterogeneous environments -Refactor existing code to optimize speed, memory and maintainability -Work with database specialists to develop applications -Adopt Scrum/Agile development strategies -Identify, track and manage software bugs, and deploy industry best practices for software QA/QC -Manage multiple competing priorities -Communicate clearly with a wide variety of stake holders - bioinformaticists, data scientists, biologists, geneticists, physicians, lab staff and infrastructure IT staff

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences or equivalent Minimum experience: -Four years experience writing production quality, professional software code -Four years of software development experience using any of C, C , Java, Ruby or Python -Four years experience with unix/linux operating system -Four years experience using git or SVN -Two years experience with any SQL database -Two years experience with Web technologies - AngularJS, XML, JSON -Two years experience with AWS/Google/MS cloud -One year experience with any NoSQL database -One year experience working with hadoop Preferred Qualifications: -Demonstrated experience in open-source software development or integration -Demonstrated experience with cloud-based development -Demonstrated experience working with Docker or similar container technologiesRequeriments :
