Job Description: Candidates will be expected to excel in teaching diverse students in a variety of settings. In addition, we seek a candidate who can help build our undergraduate computer science program. This would include restructuring the existing computer science minors and online AS degree, developing a computer science major, increasing the participation of women, and assessing and growing the program. An interest in collaborating with other programs and departments such as GIS and Biology (Bioinformatics), and Marketing is desirable. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in research, including supervising student research. The position will begin with a reduced teaching load and research expectation due to the additional responsibilities. Requirements: A Ph.D. in computer science or a related field is required; however, ABD with teaching and research experience will be considered. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and a tenure-track position will be considered. Applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. The teaching statement should explicitly address the candidate's interest and experience in teaching and mentoring a diverse student body at a liberal arts women's University, and students in a coed online program.
