Job Description:
Natera is looking for a Genetic Counselor to join our medical education team, collect Panorama clinical outcome follow-up data and to be the clinical liaison for a new product launch. Collecting outcome data is necessary for regulatory approval and quality assurance, and is essential to Natera’s reputation and integrity. Being the clinical liaison for the new product will require staying abreast of current research, becoming proficient in the science, and collaborating with the training and marketing team. Natera's expert research & development team is making rapid advances in applying cutting edge molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, and advanced statistics to the fields of fertility, maternal-fetal medicine, and oncology.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contact clinics in a timely manner for clinical follow-up data and compile information into database
Ensure all incoming follow-up emails are answered and internal protocol is followed
Prepare and present clinical summary for quarterly clinical review meeting
Create training slides and present journal clubs to Natera internal teams for new product launch
Educate Natera internal teams with clinical information and developments regarding the new product
Send monthly notifications to clinical field specialists for microdeletion follow-up
Assist Medical Education team with other projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent writing and PowerPoint skills
Proficiency in Excel
Superior organization and time management abilities
Highly motivated
Detail-oriented work ethic
Flexibility
Experience with clinical database is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Duties are performed in a home-office setting.
This position requires the ability to use a computer and communicate effectively over telephone and email.
