The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an impressive record in delivering world class research in computational biology, and have the ability to inspire the next generation of bioinformatics researchers. Communicating and collaborating with the research community, internal and external, will be a key aspect of this role. EMBL-EBI is committed to achieving gender balance in its leadership and strongly encourages applications from women, who are currently under-represented at all levels. Appointment will be based on merit alone. We welcome informal enquiries to Ewan Birney, Joint Director of EMBL-EBI (birney@ebi.ac.uk), or Nick Goldman, Research Group Leader (goldman@ebi.ac.uk).
