Your role: This role will work with our internal and external customers to develop algorithms, pipelines and applications utilizing computational, statistical and informatics skills. Our Bioinformatics and Lab Management Platform Team, part of Digital/IT, participates in product design, data mining, data analysis, process improvement and other bio/chemoinformatics projects to support R&D, production, marketing/sales and other groups. Who you are: -Education: Requires a BS or MS degree computer science, bioinformatics or equivalent relevant experience. -Experience: 3+ years experiences in web application development on analyzing big scientific data preferably in biomedical/pharmaceutical settings Skills: -Hands on experience with web application development and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's -Hands on design experience with web services (REST, SOAP, etc.) and database schemas that represent and support business processes are needed to be successful in this position -Proficiency with at least one programming language such as perl, python, php, java and advanced knowledge of Unix-like systems is must -Ability to analyze source system data and data flows, working with structured and unstructured data to provide analytics strategies and solutions -Familiarity with at least one of analytic tools (such as R, MATLAB, Tableau and Microstrategy) is highly desired -Able to work across functional groups and meet aggressive delivery schedules -Strong organizational and problem solving skills are required -The candidate must be a highly motivated, creative and self-assertive starter -Proven written and verbal communication skills, and excellent team skills are a must
