Postdoc / Researcher in Microbial Bioinformatics Employer Institute of Microbiology of the CAS Location Czech Republic Posted April 29 2016 Discipline Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology Position Type Full Time Send Save Apply We expect that the applicant has the following qualifications:

• PhD degree within the field of bioinformatics, microbiology, ecology or similar

• Practical experience in the field of bioinformatics, statistics and coding.

• Papers in IF journals in the field of bioinformatics, molecular biology or microbial ecology

• Experience with Java scripting, Python programming and the R is an advantage

• Excellence in English

• Motivation for indepedent scientific work as well as development of bioinformatic tools on demand and teaching/training and interest in microbial ecology and ecosystem functioning



The position may be a long-term, so there is a good chance for extension after the initial one-year period.
