Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the development of analytical tools and data pipeline development for analysis of immune repertoire Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, software design, implementation of new features to existing applications, providing data analytic support for evaluation of experimental results, and aiding the technical support team with customer-related questions. This is a full-time position which requires a bachelors degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Bio-statistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related discipline. At least 2+ years of experience working with NGS data and strong programming and debugging skills in Java, Python, C, or another programming language is required. Experience in the use of bioinformatic software packages and databases in both the immune repertoire and cancer genomics areas is preferred. Repertoire (www.irepertoire.com) is a small biotechnology company located in the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, AL, that provides products and services for analyzing the immune repertoire. An immune repertoire is the sum total of B and T cells in circulation at any given moment. It is both a historical record and snapshot of immune function at a given point in time. Using patented arm-PCR (amplicon rescued multiplex PCR) and dam-PCR (dimer-avoided multiplex PCR) technology, more than 250,000 unique T-cell receptors (TCRs) or B-cell receptors (BCRs) can be identified from a single sample in one amplification reaction. Our product lines include reagent kits, so that our customers can easily and inexpensively generate their own high-throughput sequencing libraries in the convenience of their laboratory. We also offer a full service menu so that customers can send in samples (RNA/gDNA), and we perform the amplification through sequencing. To ease concern about data analysis, we have developed a comprehensive software pipeline for repertoire analysis. We offer a complete product and service menu that allows researchers to study both human and mouse samples, T and/or B cells, for all of the chains, and for the major NGS platforms.[Click Here to Access the Original Job Post]
