BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong fundamentals (OO, algorithms, data structures) Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming in Java and Groovy + Grails for Web-based applications Fluency in at least another OO (E.g. C++, C#) or scripting language (E.g. Python, Ruby) Prior experience using web 2.0 technologies (e.g. Ajax and HTML 5.0) Knowledge of Molecular Biology/Genetics/Bioinformatics a plus but not required Job Description: As part of a multi-disciplinary software team, you will be delivering new and innovative extensions or implementing novel products in PierianDx’s software solution suite Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software for our technology platform and full suite of products Collaborate with subject matter experts, business analysts, other developers, quality assurance specialists, and UI designers to create a high-quality user experience. Contribute to continuous improvement of software development best practices in the areas of coding tools, languages and APIs, as well as software design and development processes • Other specific responsibilities vary by project scope and prior experience
