Job Description:
IMS supports multiple bioinformatics initiatives from government and commercial institutions in public health and medical research applications. IMS is looking for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support the implementation of security solutions and assist with the design, development and implementation of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. In this position, you will also help with investigations into problematic activity and the planning for appropriate resolution. Tasks can also include contributions to the streamlining of the security processes of the organization; supporting the creation and enforcement of enterprise security documents (e.g. policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures); maintaining documentation, procedures and working instructions in accordance with federal and departmental guidelines; and aiding in the review of software systems to ensure compliance with FISMA/FEDRAMP criteria. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution -0-2 years of experience -Cybersecurity and/or programming experience preferred -Familiarity with common attack methodologies, tactics, and protocols -Familiarity in a command line environment in multiple operating systems -Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills -Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to clients and users in layman terms -Demonstrated strong analytic and problem solving skills -Demonstrated customer service skills -Excellent attention to detail and organization skills -Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work within a team -Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance -Strong presentation skills preferred
