Job Description:
A position is available for a part-time (65%) Junior Specialist in the laboratory of Dr. Kenneth Kosik to conduct data analysis from Multi-Electrode Array neuron recordings. The appointee will develop methods and algorithms for propagation signal analysis, synaptic coupling analysis and spike train clustering; will compare these data between disease samples, drug treated samples and controls; and collaborate with other lab members to perform computing on MEA data.

Minimum qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics is required.

Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, imaging techniques, computer-assisted data analysis, statistics and recordings from multi-electrode arrays.

Initial appointment is for one year, part time (65%) with benefits. Continuation beyond one year will be based on performance and availability of funding.
