If you are a dynamic individual with specialist experience of teaching modern British and European History, this is an excellent opportunity for you to join one of the leading history departments in the country.
This post has been specifically created to cover the teaching portfolio of a colleague. You will be fully supported to deliver a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate classes for which teaching resources have been prepared. You will also have the opportunity to pursue areas of expertise within the broad class titles listed below.
As Lecturer in Modern British and European History you will teach the following classes:
First year class on the British Home Front Second and Third Year class on Nazi Germany and Vichy France Special Subject class on the British Home Front Masters Class on Oral HistoryAs Lecturer in Modern British and European History you will need:
a PhD in a relevant discipline sufficient breadth or depth of specialist experience of modern British and European History to work within established teaching programmes the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn a willingness to contribute fully and flexibly as part of the School of History teamThis post is being offered for a fixed period of 10 months.
