Job Description:

Max-Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research Bad Nauheim, Germany

Position for Master/PhD student (m/f) - Bioinformatics

We are looking for a highly motivated Master/PhD student (m/f) who wants to contribute to cutting-edge research with a focus on advanced bioinformatical analyses. We primarily work with data originating from high throughput techniques (sequencing/mass spectrometry/imaging) in the context of a variety of distinct projects. These are highly connected to specific biological questions from research departments in-house, while supervision and the working environment are provided by a professional bioinformatics and IT group.

A talented student (m/f) who is accepted will join our six-month program in case of a master thesis or our three years international research school program in case of PhD students. Students will find a stimulating international research environment with access to leading edge technologies. A successful completion of the master program may be followed by the three-year PhD student program. In the PhD program we aim for thesis by publication (essay thesis).
