Job Description:
Human Longevity, Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer to perform the high quality transfer, management, and delivery of complex data (Big Data) derived from next generation DNA/Genome sequencing analysis efforts.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of HLI’s platform technology, consisting of on-premises applications and cloud based platforms/systems. The incumbent will interact not only with other team members building different components of the system, but also with scientists, bioinformaticians and non-engineers to gather system requirements. There could also be overlap development work with systems level, algorithm, data mining and bioinformatics type work.

Minimum Qualifications (Must have)

·5+ Years of software development experience

·B.S. in relevant field, or equivalent experience

·Solid Experience with Cloud programming and architectures (AWS, Azure)

·Coding experience (from inception through implementation) with the following development tools/systems:

  • Relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Angular SPA, Bootstrap, Bower, Grunt, ngMocks, Jasmine, Karma, PhantomJS
  • UI Development with Elasticsearch, Redis, Neo4j
  • GIT, TFS, Node, NPM, Express.js
  • Protractor.js, Istanbul, Webstorm, D3
  • C#, .NET 4.0+, VS2012+
  • NET 4.5 Parallel Programming methodologies
  • WCF, SQL, Prism, MEF, Unity, MVVM, Entity Framework 6.0, Enterprise Library a plus
  • NoSQL databases
·Solid understanding of good programming practices, architecture, design patterns and unit testing

·Strong skills in UX and UI design

·Experience in a regulated environment

·Ability to read and understand C, C++, Python

·Experience with large data sets a plus

·Excellent communication skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

·Experience in a start-up environment

·Domain experience in a NGS related or Biotech related company

·A second language

Working Conditions:

·Open office environment

·Global environment with multiple sites, which may require work beyond standard business hours

·Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending and kneeling
