Job Description:
The .Net developer interns will work closely with other engineers to build and maintain the Analytics Platform with large scale, high performance, and rock-solid reliability. This is a hands-on position that will require performing system development and maintenance activities for the exciting and dynamic medical fields.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with business analysts and Sr. engineers in analyzing business requirements, and translate these requirements into functional applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Work with engineering and product teams distributed across multiple locations
  • Effectively document and communicate results
  • Other duties as required by business conditions or as assigned
Essential Education, Experience and Interests:
  • Knowledge of .NET web framework and C#
  • Skills for writing reusable libraries
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of concurrency patterns
  • Familiarity with database and SQL Server
  • Experience with popular web application frameworks
  • Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Mercurial, SVN or Git.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated and quick-learner.
  • Good interpersonal (both oral and written) communication skills.
  • Technical degree (Bachelors of Science, Computer Science, BioInformatics or equivalent) strongly desired; advanced degree (MS) a plus.
Desired Experience:
  • Knowledge with Web Application development and big data analytics
  • Familiarity with Scrum methodology
  • Knowledge with OLAP, MDX and Mondrian
Special Requirements:
  • This position can be based in Emeryville, CA, or Nashville, TN
  • Travel required: approximately 10%
