Receptor Dynamics: Emerging Paradigms for Novel Drugs (Graduate Program)

Degree: PhD/ Dr. rer. nat.

Duration: 3 years, initial contract 1 year

Language: English and German

Salary: 0,66  E 13, exact amount depending on age, marital status, and number of children

Prerequisite: M.Sc. with excellence in natural sciences

Project: The successful candidate will work on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
spectroscopy based studies of receptor dynamics, in particular dynamics of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), in collaboration with chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, and biophysics departments of the universities of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Regensburg, and Würzburg (coordinating university). Accordingly, the project is highly interdisciplinary, with a focus on structural biology applied to drug development.
