AncestryDNA is seeking a motivated and talented Population Geneticist with experience analyzing genomic data to understand ancestry and population structure. Working with a collaborative and nimble team of biologists, population geneticists, statisticians, computer scientists and epidemiologists, the Population Geneticist will develop methods to interpret our singular data set of genotypes and pedigrees. We are seeking applicants who are eager to develop new approaches to analyze and integrate these data to provide new genomic discoveries for consumers. Qualifications:

- The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Genetics, Evolutionary Genetics, Population Genetics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- The candidate must have demonstrated excellence in applying quantitative or machine learning methods to genomic data to advance the field of population genetics.
- The successful applicant will have a proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, C/C++ or R.
- Experience with managing and analyzing data from high-throughput sequencing technology platforms a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be needed in our collaborative and fast-paced team.
