Job Description:
ISAS (Dortmund) seeks a talented and highly motivated Bioinformation to pursue bioinformatics network analysis to elucidate novel signaling hubs in insulin resistance within the Leibnitz funded “A Synaptoneurolipidomics View on Neuronal Plasticity in Insulin Resistance and Alzheimer's disease” SAW project.

The primary focus is the development and implementation of tools suited for multi-omics workflows with a strong proteomics focus and in the context of neuronal plasticity and insulin resistance. A successful candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams (clinical, biostatistics, analytical and bioinformatics scientists), will stream line data analysis and integration across various domains. Regular publication of scientific and methodological results is strongly encouraged. Finally, the successful candidate will be able to effectively present complex results in a clear and concise manner that is accessible to a diverse audience of quantitative, experimental, and clinical scientists.

Who You Are:

Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:

Master of Science (chemistry, biology or similar), with a publication record.

A solid understanding of the relevant concepts in mass spectrometry and proteomics. Enthusiasm for learning more. An understanding of the statistical principles behind current best practices in the field.

Strong communication, data presentation and visualization skills. Thereby English is required, German is an advantage.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to handle several concurrent projects.
