Job Description:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Washington University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a post-doctoral research associate in bioinformatics. The researcher will work on microRNA studies by combining computational modeling with high-throughput experimental data. MicroRNAs are non-coding small RNAs that are extensively involved in many biological processes. We are combining computational data modeling, high-throughput biology such as RNA-seq, as well as standard molecular biology techniques to characterize the functions of microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs.

This position requires a Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related field. Other biology candidates with extensive experience in computer science or statistics will also be considered. This person should have extensive experience in at least one commonly used language such as Perl or Python. Previous experience in high-throughput sequencing analysis or machine learning techniques is a plus. Interested candidates should send CV to Xiaowei Wang, Ph.D, Dept. of Radiation Oncology, Washington University School of Medicine, at email address: xiaowei.wang@wustl.edu.
