Post-Doctoral Research Fellow - EpigeneticsUniversity of KentuckyMolecular and Cellular BiochemistryUSA-KY-Lexington A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Yvonne Fondufe-Mittendorf (http://www.mc.uky.edu/biochemistry/dept_personnel/faculty/Fondufe-mittendorf.asp), in the Department of Molecular Cellular Biochemistry in the College of Medicine at University of Kentucky. The successful candidate will carry out an independent project on the epigenetic mechanisms during envrionmental arsenic exposure using genetically modified mice and cell models. Applicants should have a strong background in biochemistry and bioinformatics and a background in epigenomics is preferred. Experience with next generation sequencing techniques are a strong plus. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual with good communication skills, interest and experience in biochemistry/toxicology/epigenomics, will have a proven publication record, and the ability to work independently. The applicant must currently have a Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field in the basic sciences in order to apply. Competitive salary will be based on qualifications, and appointment will be for 1 year with possibility of renewal on a yearly basis.
