Job Description:
Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 424469) - Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Biomedical Informatics will work collaboratively with other departments at OSU, including Public Health, Food Sciences, and Human Sciences to develop analysis methods to interpret metabolomics data; assists with building computational framework for collecting data in murine colon cancer models and human cancer cell lines; participates as a team member with staff, students and collaborative researchers to interpret data and discuss project progress; collaborates with other researchers in determining research priorities and planning programs of research; assists in supervising and mentoring graduate/undergraduate students; collaborates with principal investigators in writing and submitting grant proposals to extramural funding agencies.

Education and experience:

Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics, Biophysics, or an appropriate field required; demonstrated ability to be a competent and productive researcher; foundational knowledge of computer science, matlab or R, and mass spectrometry required; experience with R and the linux environment is a plus; requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
