Job Description:
Post Doctoral Researcher to pursue specialized research training and experience under the guidance of Dr. Wayne Miles; research focuses on understanding how different oncogenic stimuli change the transcriptional, post-transcriptional and proteomic landscape of normal and cancer cells; develops, adopts, and implements new laboratory methods; very high technical standard required in tissue culture manipulation of cells (shRNA, siRNA, CRISPR and transfections), RNA-protein interaction technologies (RNA-IPs, Ribosome capture, PAR-CLIP and polysome gradients) and global profiling (RT-PCR, RNA-seq and proteomics); participates in analyzing data for reports for the purpose of grants submissions; trains staff in molecular biology techniques; attends and presents at national and international conferences as well Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) meetings;
Education and experience A Doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline is required. Requires successful completion of a background check; bioinformatics skills desired; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
