Job Description:
Post-doctoral/Research associate positions are open in the Newborn Brain Development Lab at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
We are broadly interested in perinatal/neonatal brain injury and development, especially in very preterm infants. Research in the lab focuses on brain injury/abnormal development (1) antecedents/risk factors, (2) associated neuropathology, (3) prognostic advanced MRI biomarkers of long-term neurodevelopmental impairments.

We are seeking creative and highly motivated individuals with good writing skills and training in advanced MRI image processing. Postdoctoral candidates must hold a PhD in biomedical engineering, computer science, imaging science, neuroscience, or neuroanatomy. Prior neuroimaging training/experience with MRI and use of more common neuroimaging packages (FSL, FreeSurfer) is required. The position is 100% research and includes opportunities to interact with the Center for Perinatal Research, Battelle Center for Mathematical Medicine, Neuroradiology, Neurology, Neuropathology, and Developmental Disabilities and at Nationwide Children’s and The Ohio State University.
