Job Description:
A postdoctoral position is available September 1, 2014 in the laboratory of Dr. Lori Rink in the Developmental Therapeutics Program, Fox Chase Cancer Center. Our aim is to understand the mechanisms of resistance to small molecule inhibitors in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) through both basic and translational studies. The ultimate goal of the lab is to translate these findings into novel treatments for GIST. Research involves mammalian tissue culture, preclinical mouse studies and extensive molecular biology. Qualified candidates must be highly dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic. Strong background in tissue culture and molecular biology is required. Expertise in Bioinformatics is a big plus. In addition, candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
