Our lab uses molecular and systems approaches to study mechanisms of post-transcriptional gene regulation, such as alternative polyadenylation, mRNA degradation, localization, and translation. Detailed research topics and publications can be found at http://exon.njms.rutgers.edu.
Our lab is located in Newark, New Jersey, which is in close proximity to New York City. Many scientific and educational opportunities are available in the NY/NJ metropolitan area, as well as cultural, entertainment and sports activities. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is a leading national research university and the state’s preeminent, comprehensive public institution of higher education.  Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, computational biology or related fields, with proficiency in Linux/UNIX, PERL, R or MatLab, database systems, and web development. Knowledge of statistics is required. Experience with RNA research is a strong plus.
