Description

The Computational Omics and Systems Biology (CompOmics) group of Prof. Dr. Lennart Martens, located in Ghent, Belgium, focuses on the analysis and integration of high-throughput life sciences data. The group is currently looking for a (junior) postdoc to work on the management and analysis of cell migration data in the context of a recently funded EU H2020 grant. The project is focused on the standardization, dissemination, and Machine Learning based analysis of cell migration imaging data. The CompOmics group is very internationally oriented, and has a very strong publication and funding record. The group offers an open, highly dynamic, and challenging working environment, in which team work, initiative and originality are stimulated and appreciated. The position is available immediately. Profile

  • ​You have (or will soon have) a PhD degree in a relevant field (sciences, informatics, statistics, mathematics, (bio-)engineering).
  • You combine a keen interest in bioinformatics and/or data mining with knowledge of algorithm design and/or Machine Learning.
  • Any prior experience with cell imaging or cell migration data, software development, standardization or analysis of image data is considered an advantage.
